Orascom Services (previously Orascom Trading) is a leading equipment importation, distribution and after sale services company in the field of commercial agencies in Egypt. The company was established by the late Eng. Onsi Sawiris over 30 years ago and is the agent for diverse, blue-chip Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) in Egypt. Orascom Services grew to serve many vital sectors in the Egyptian market through its wide portfolio covering multiple industries including construction, infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, and agriculture.
For over 20 years, Orascom Services has been representing some of the top agencies such as Hitachi, Sandvik, Grove, Volvo Penta and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries as well as many other global companies.
In early 2022, Orascom Services was acquired by Orascom Construction, a leading global engineering and construction contractor with a footprint covering the Middle East, Africa and the United States and operations encompassing the infrastructure, industrial and commercial sectors. Orascom Construction also owns 50% of BESIX Group, develops and invests in infrastructure opportunities, and holds a building materials and facilities management portfolio. Following the acquisition, Orascom Services was rebranded from its original name, Orascom Trading.
Backed by Orascom Construction’s immense resources, expertise and first-hand understanding of local, regional, and international markets, Orascom Services has further strengthened its capabilities to provide top quality products, complete solution packages, the best quality after-sale services and spare parts.
